Imagination in Every Brick: A Brilliant LEGO Campaign

LEGO has always been about more than just building blocks — it's about imagination, creativity, and seeing the world through a different lens. A few years back, agency Blatner Brunner (@brunnerworks) captured that magic in a minimalist yet powerful ad campaign.


At first glance, the builds are simple — just a few LEGO bricks stacked together. But look closer, and you'll see that their shadows tell a completely different story. A white block casts the iconic silhouette of a ship on the ocean. A yellow L-shape becomes a towering T-Rex. A basic red structure transforms into an airplane soaring through the skies.


It's a clever way to showcase the core of the LEGO experience — turning basic parts into infinite possibilities, powered by imagination. This hit me right in the childhood. Like so many others, I spent hours dreaming up spaceships, dinosaurs, and wild adventures with my LEGO sets. These visuals capture that feeling perfectly.


Props to the creative minds at Blatner Brunner for reminding us all of the joy and wonder these little bricks can bring.
