One of the most memorable ad campaigns comes from Sweden, dating back to 2014. To launch a new line of hair products, the brand Apolosophy teamed up with Clear Channel to create something truly innovative.
At first glance, it looks like an ordinary digital billboard in a Stockholm subway station. But when a train arrives, the model’s hair dramatically blows in the wind — perfectly timed to the gust created by the incoming train. The technology uses motion sensors to detect the train and triggers the animation at just the right moment.
It’s a clever, unexpected use of context and environment that turns a passive ad into a delightful surprise. A genius example of how creativity and tech can breathe life into traditional advertising spaces.
