Influenza (flu) shot reminder posters

Poster Design | Influenza (Flu) shot reminders
Client: Immunize BC / BC Centre for Disease Control

These flu prevention posters were created as part of a public health campaign displayed in clinics, pharmacies, and healthcare offices across British Columbia. Designed to feel approachable and reassuring, the visuals use simple, expressive illustrations paired with clear messaging to encourage people to get their annual flu shot.

The tone is intentionally light and friendly, helping to reduce anxiety around immunization while still communicating important health information. Each poster breaks down key actions such as covering your cough, washing your hands, staying home when sick, and getting immunized, presenting them in a way that is easy to understand at a glance. The character-driven illustrations add personality and relatability, making the message more engaging for a wide audience.

Strong adherence to Immunize BC’s established branding ensures consistency and credibility across all touchpoints. The use of bright, accessible colours and clean typography reinforces clarity, while strategic layout choices guide the viewer through the information in a natural and intuitive way. The inclusion of clear calls to action, including where to find a flu clinic, supports the campaign’s goal of increasing vaccination rates.

Overall, the design balances warmth with authority, creating an effective communication tool that supports public health initiatives while remaining visually inviting and easy to engage with.
