Report Design: The Impact of GetCheckedOnline.com
Report Design | Get Checked Online - Impact
Client: BC Centre for Disease Control
This report was designed to communicate the real-world impact of GetCheckedOnline.com, an innovative digital health service developed by the BC Centre for Disease Control. The primary goal was to translate complex usage data into a clear, engaging narrative that could be easily understood by a broad audience, including healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the public.
Infographics play a central role throughout the report, transforming dense datasets into accessible visual stories. Carefully structured charts, icons, and data visualizations guide the reader through key insights, highlighting patterns in usage, reach, and outcomes. The design balances clarity with visual interest, ensuring that information is not only digestible but also memorable.
A restrained, muted colour palette was selected to reflect the seriousness of the subject matter while maintaining a cohesive and recognizable connection to the organization’s brand. Subtle contrasts and consistent typographic hierarchy help organize content, allowing readers to navigate the report intuitively without feeling overwhelmed.
Particular attention was given to pacing and flow. Each section builds logically on the last, leading the reader from high-level context into more detailed findings. This structured approach supports comprehension while reinforcing the credibility of the information presented.
The final result is a report that not only delivers valuable insights into the effectiveness of GetCheckedOnline.com, but also demonstrates how thoughtful information design can elevate public health communication.
