This branding project for CanSAVE (Canadians Saving Arrest Victims Everywhere) focuses on communicating urgency, care, and optimism within a life-saving context. The goal was to create an identity that feels both medically grounded and emotionally reassuring, positioning the organization as a trusted and forward-thinking leader in cardiac arrest response and research.

The icon brings this concept to life through a heart shape formed by fluid, swerving lines. This treatment suggests energy, movement, and the critical nature of timely intervention, while also conveying a sense of compassion and human-centered care. Integrated alongside the heart is a brain symbol, reinforcing an essential part of CanSAVE’s mission: saving lives also means protecting brain function and long-term quality of life. Together, these elements present a more holistic view of survival and recovery.

The colour palette draws from traditional medical tones but is intentionally softened. This approach maintains a sense of clinical credibility while reducing the intensity often associated with emergency themes, creating a more approachable and reassuring visual language. The result is a balance between professionalism and warmth.

The typography is clean and modern, supporting clarity and accessibility across applications. It complements the icon without overpowering it, ensuring that the message remains direct and easy to understand.
